What is a compact sauna? Far infrared explained
Updated
Helsi™ One Sauna Dome combines far-infrared heat and full-body red light in a dome that slides together into a side table. Here is how it works, how much space it needs and what to keep in mind.

In short
Helsi™ One Sauna Dome is a dome sauna with graphene far-infrared heaters in both domes and the mat, plus 132 LEDs (66 × 630–660 nm, 66 × 810/830/850 nm). Extended it needs 200 × 80 cm; slid together it stands at 100 × 76.5 × 48 cm, like a side table. It runs on a standard 230 V socket.

What is an infrared sauna?
Infrared sits right next to red light in the spectrum. We feel it as heat. An infrared sauna gives off this heat through heaters rather than, like a classic sauna, mainly heating the air.
In Helsi™ One Sauna Dome, graphene far-infrared heaters sit in both domes and in the mat, so the heat comes from above and below, all around you.
How Helsi™ One Sauna Dome works
You lie on the mat and the two domes close over you. With the rechargeable Bluetooth controller you set the zones separately and choose one of three modes: infrared, red light or both.
Besides heat, Helsi™ One Sauna Dome has 132 LEDs for full-body red light: 66 red at 630–660 nm and 66 near-infrared at 810, 830 and 850 nm. EMF and ELF values are 0.1 mG.
Space, weight and power
Extended, Helsi™ One Sauna Dome is 183.3 cm long, 200 cm with the mat; the mat measures 200 × 80 × 3 cm. Slid together it stands upright at 100 × 76.5 × 48 cm and fits in a corner like a side table. Rails and rubber wheels make opening and closing easy.
The domes weigh 43 kg, the mat 10 kg. You need a standard 230–240 V socket; Helsi™ One Sauna Dome draws 1,800 W, about 7.5 A.
- Indoor use only.
- A flat, dry floor close to a socket.
- Shell in bamboo plywood and coated steel.
How to use it
Start with short sessions and build up slowly until you know how your body responds to the heat. Drink enough. For red light without heat, choose the red light mode.
If you have health questions, for example about your heart and circulation or during pregnancy, check with a doctor before using heat sessions.
